will try to do this more...
but u should change the navbar color....
This is only oane of 6 samples, i couldnt put all of them,
but there is oane with a darker menu color
Am curios witch oane will the client chouse.
The only criticism I'd give is:
(1) Make the main nav a bit heavier/darker. It gets lost a bit and Login seems more important than the general navigation of the site, which I doubt it is. Beefing it up, maybe making it that blue, would go a long way to fixing the problem.
(2) The footer still needs a bit of work. The grey doesn't show up enough anywhere else, I'd say go to that tan or a darker tan or blue. And you should either space out of put a divider between the links on the right as they look just like a string sentence. It wasn't until I'd properly read them that I realised they were navigation related.
(3) This isn't criticism, just a recommendation. You should try making one of those words in the paragraph a link, just to figure out how you'd do it. I try to do it with my first study anyway when I work just so the client (and myself) can decide how they're going to work.
Very nice layout, keep up the good work!
Well, this is only oane of the 6 samples (all with small modifications) that i propuse to this client,
i didnt put all the samples here (maybe i should ?) beacuse they
wouldnt look nice (to small to put 6 of them + the splash screen).
So i put only oane of them, that i like
For the nr1: yes i agree, should make a little bit darker the nav, i have oane sample with this done
The login area is a drop down meniu, and in this sample is how it's looking when is open.
On the second point, right again
A good criticism, with good arguments is always welcome
again thank you for your cooments and for taking the time
to read this.
Will try to keep the good work rolling
done this only for 8 months, so i gues a have a lot to do
You should check out a couple sites to help you get your head around the theory of it all:
• Smashing Magazine [link] - Great resource, lots of code-related tutorials and great inspirational examples.
• A List Apart [link] - Design theory and technical articles by some of the greats of web design, including Jeffery Zeldman.
• Think Vitamin [link] - Another blog/article site that deals with a wide variety of web-related topics. Also a great resource.
I check these out every once and a while, they're a great source of info on all things web design. Of course there's more, but these will come in handy a lot.
Enjoy! And keep up the good work!
As for links, just one more: [link] Get an account there and start bookmarking all the great sites and sources you come across. You can also add people to your network to send them links and stuff, this is mine: [link] if you're interested.
